T/O&E

 

The 90th Infantry Division during WWII was organized along the lines of the standard US Army 'Triangular' Division Structure.
This structure, which employed the use of 3 Infantry Regiments, as opposed to the 4 of the WWI 'Square' division along with the elimination of the Brigade level command, which also was a component of the WWI 'Square' divisional structure, severed to create a more flexible divisional structure that was better suited to the rapid and mobile conflict that the US Army anticipated WWII to be.
